2. WEBSITE PURPOSE
This Website provides general information about North Forty Services and allows prospective customers to contact us and request information or estimates. The Website does not currently provide e-commerce services or create a binding service agreement merely because a visitor submits a contact form, requests an estimate, sends photographs, or otherwise communicates with us through the Website. A service relationship is established only when North Forty Services and the customer agree to the applicable work, pricing, scheduling, and other necessary terms.
3. ESTIMATES AND QUOTES
Any estimate, quote, price range, or other pricing information provided through the Website, by telephone, by email, from photographs, or based upon information supplied by a prospective customer may be subject to verification. Pricing may change when the actual conditions, quantity, weight, volume, type of material, accessibility, labor requirements, disposal requirements, equipment requirements, or scope of work differ from the information originally provided. Unless specifically stated otherwise in writing, an estimate is not a guarantee that unforeseen work, materials, disposal costs, permit costs, or other additional expenses will be included. The terms of an individual written estimate, work order, proposal, or service agreement will control if they conflict with general information appearing on this Website.
4. CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Customers and prospective customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding requested services.
This includes accurately describing the property, materials, debris, structures, access conditions, hazards, and other circumstances that may reasonably affect the work. North Forty Services may modify an estimate, decline work, discontinue work, or require additional arrangements when actual conditions materially differ from those represented by the customer.
5. AUTHORITY TO AUTHORIZE WORK
By requesting removal, hauling, demolition, disposal, delivery, or other services, the customer represents that the customer owns the applicable property or materials or otherwise has legal authority to authorize the requested work. Customers may not direct North Forty Services to remove, dispose of, alter, demolish, or transport property belonging to another person without proper authorization. North Forty Services may decline or suspend work when ownership or authorization is disputed or reasonably uncertain.
6. JUNK REMOVAL AND HAULING
North Forty Services reserves the right to refuse to remove, transport, handle, or dispose of any item or substance that cannot legally or safely be handled using our normal equipment and disposal methods. Certain materials may require special handling, advance disclosure, additional charges, or a properly licensed disposal provider. Customers must disclose known hazardous, dangerous, contaminated, regulated, or unusual materials before work begins. North Forty Services may refuse any material that presents an unreasonable safety, environmental, legal, transportation, or disposal risk.
7. HAZARDOUS AND PROHIBITED MATERIALS
Unless specifically agreed to in advance and permitted by applicable law, customers should not include hazardous or regulated materials with ordinary junk or debris. Examples may include chemicals, fuels, explosives, ammunition, asbestos-containing materials, biohazardous materials, medical waste, certain paints or solvents, compressed gases, and other materials subject to special transportation or disposal requirements. The customer is responsible for accurately disclosing any known hazardous or regulated materials. Additional charges may apply when undisclosed materials require special handling, segregation, transportation, remediation, or disposal.
8. DEMOLITION SERVICES
Demolition work may involve inherent risks, including hidden structural conditions, concealed utilities, deteriorated materials, underground components, and conditions that cannot reasonably be identified before work begins. Required permits, governmental approvals, utility clearances, property-owner approvals, association approvals, or other authorizations must be obtained before work requiring those approvals begins. Responsibility for obtaining permits or approvals may be assigned to North Forty Services or the customer depending upon the particular project and will be determined by the applicable estimate, proposal, work order, or service agreement. Customers are responsible for disclosing known underground or concealed utilities, wiring, plumbing, gas lines, septic systems, irrigation systems, structural components, hazardous materials, and other conditions that could affect demolition work. North Forty Services reserves the right to stop or modify work if unexpected conditions create additional cost, require additional authorization, or present a safety concern.
9. MATERIAL DELIVERY
Delivery times and dates may be affected by product availability, suppliers, loading conditions, traffic, weather, road conditions, equipment availability, job-site accessibility, and circumstances outside the reasonable control of North Forty Services. The customer is responsible for providing a reasonably safe and accessible delivery location. North Forty Services may decline to enter or operate equipment in an area that could reasonably result in equipment damage, property damage, unsafe conditions, or the vehicle becoming stuck. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for confirming that ordered materials and quantities are appropriate for the customer's intended use.
10. PROPERTY ACCESS AND SITE CONDITIONS
Customers requesting on-site services are responsible for providing reasonable and lawful access to the work area. Customers should identify known hazards and protect or remove property that could reasonably be damaged during the requested work. North Forty Services is not responsible for damage resulting from preexisting defects, deteriorated conditions, hidden conditions, inadequate access, undisclosed hazards, or conditions that could not reasonably have been identified before work began, except to the extent otherwise required by law.
11. SCHEDULING
Requested dates and times are not guaranteed until confirmed by North Forty Services. Schedules may change because of weather, equipment issues, disposal facility availability, traffic, project conditions, emergencies, delays on previous projects, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. North Forty Services will make reasonable efforts to communicate material scheduling changes.
12. PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, AND REFUNDS
Payment requirements may vary depending upon the nature and size of the project. Specific payment terms may be included in an estimate, proposal, invoice, work order, or other agreement between North Forty Services and the customer. North Forty Services may maintain separate cancellation and refund policies. Any such policies, together with the terms of an applicable estimate, proposal, invoice, or service agreement, will govern cancellations and refunds.
